The Low End Theory's 20 Anniversary

September 24th marked the 20th Anniversary of A Tribe Called Quest's masterpiece. The album  in my opinion is one of the greatest Hiphop albums of all time. For all you Tribe fans out there give it a spin or two. Non tribe fans check the rhime.

St Louis ! St Louis!

Just returned from a trip to St Louis (passed through Springfield, IL), and the must admit it exceeded my expectations. The Arch is iconic and very much deserved. Pappy's BBQ and Busch Stadium is worth going to St Louis alone. Check out some pictures below.

Chicago Half Marathon

My wife and I completed the 5k course at the 15th Annual Chicago Half Marathon on Sunday September 11th. Great weather, great route, great time! Check out some of the videos.

Auburn Gresham’s 79th Street Renaissance Festival

I missed the festival on 79th St this year due to attending the Chicago Half Marathon Expo at Navy Pier. The family and I decided to make the most of it and had a blast at the Children's Museum. We stuffed ourselves with  shrimp at Bubba Gump (no plug just a recap) and  soaked  up the ambiance of beautiful Chicago.

Here is a video from our friends at Yo Chicago. Look like those in attendance had a good time.

CSU to Host Great West Conference BBall Tournament.

Just yesterday the Chicago State University men's basketball team released their 2011-2012 schedule. The item that caught my attention was the last paragraph.

The Green and White host the GWC Tournament at the Jones Convocation Center
on March 8-10 in which all six conference teams will compete for the conference's
tournament title and automatic bid to the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament.

This means Chicago  as well as the South side have the opportunity to host a Division I hoops tourney. I think this  should be a great time to take in some NCAA action right at the start of March Madness.
